Meet Jaana
For more than 15 years, I have built a career leading commercial strategy, business development, and organizational growth for global organizations. My work has required sound financial management, data-driven decision-making, strategic planning, and building partnerships that deliver measurable results.
Throughout my career, I have managed complex projects, worked with diverse stakeholders, negotiated successful partnerships, and developed practical solutions to challenging issues. These experiences have strengthened my ability to make informed decisions, manage public resources responsibly, and focus on results that benefit the communities I serve.
Toronto has been my home, and like many residents, I have seen firsthand the challenges our city faces—from rising living costs and housing affordability to traffic congestion, public safety, and supporting local businesses. I believe these challenges require thoughtful leadership, accountability, and a commitment to listening to residents.
I am running for Toronto City Council because I believe City Hall should work for the people it serves. My commitment is to be accessible, transparent, and focused on practical solutions that improve everyday life for our residents.

Service and Community
Giving back to the community has always been important to me. I have been a regular supporter of the Fort York Food Bank through ongoing donations, helping contribute to its mission of providing food and essential support to individuals and families facing food insecurity in our community.
I believe that strong communities are built when we support one another. This commitment to service reflects the values I will bring to City Hall—compassion, accountability, and a dedication to improving the lives of all Toronto residents.
Why Jaana Is Running
Beaches-East York is a vibrant and diverse community, but residents continue to face important local concerns.
Traffic congestion, road safety, housing affordability, aging infrastructure, public safety, transit reliability, and access to community services all require thoughtful and responsible leadership.
Jaana is running to strengthen communication between residents and City Hall, encourage meaningful community participation, and advocate for practical solutions that improve everyday life.
